Overview

Our client is one of the leading utility companies in the Washington, DC Metro area.  They have an immediate need for an Asset Refresh Tech to join their team. In this role, you will own the process of imaging, scheduling, and deploying new laptops and tablets for employees as part of an Asset Refresh project.

 

This contract role is ONSITE in Springfield, VA, with occasional travel to the Wharf location in Washington, DC.  Don’t miss your opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging organization that is highly focused on results. Responsibilities

  • Utilize SCCM for imaging laptops and Windows-based tough pads.
  • Schedule daily asset refresh appointments to meet tight timelines.
  • Conduct workstation upgrades for employees, including data transfer, application installation, printer mapping, and VPN testing.
  • Manage asset reclamation of old devices for proper disposal.
  • Maintain inventory in ServiceNow by assigning newly deployed assets to users and checking in assets undergoing refresh.
  • Supervise testing and implementation of desktop and mobile device images, packages, and configurations, providing feedback to the Manager.
  • Collaborate with ITS Business Unit Partners and the Manager of Digital End User Services on Demand Management services for future software and hardware maintenance and enhancements.
  • Offer post-installation/configuration support and troubleshoot Office 365 services.
  • Provide regular updates to management on asset refresh progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Sciences, or Computer Science preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in asset lifecycle management, including imaging, scheduling, and performing upgrades for laptops and tough pads.
  • Proficiency in technical configuration/image and Desktop/Mobile Device management; experience with Microsoft SCCM preferred.
  • Familiarity with Service Now or similar incident and problem resolution ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of Demand Management services for maintenance and product enhancements.
  • Technical knowledge of packaging, distributing, and testing files and applications for mobile devices.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11.
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks, train others, and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Initiative and flexibility in approach to tasks.
