Overview

Our client is a leader in electrical construction and services, delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions to meet diverse client needs. They are rapidly growing and have several direct hire opportunities for Commercial Electricians.  Work will be performed at client sites around the DMV; a company car is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct de-energized testing of electrical components ranging from 840V to 69KV.
  • Perform equipment testing and identify deficiencies with precision and expertise.
  • Provide technical guidance, communicate findings, and lead maintenance projects.
  • Utilize advanced tools such as multimeters, power meters, insulation testers, VLF, and relay testers.
  • Perform testing on circuit breakers, transformers, and electrical protection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Maintain customer relationships and deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ electrical testing experience.
  • Proficiency in testing instruments and tools (e.g., multimeters, power factor testers, CT testers).
  • Solid understanding of NEC, NFPA, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills in maintenance projects.
  • Arc Flash Hazard awareness and use of appropriate PPE.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Level II Thermographer Certification (or ability to complete within 3 years).

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • NETA or NICET Level II (or higher) certification.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
  • Experience with relay testing instruments (Omicron, Doble, HVA, Megger).
  • Familiarity with equipment from Siemens, Eaton, ABB, GE, and Honeywell.
  • Level I/II Thermography Certification.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range of $90K-$100K, based on experience, qualifications, location, licensure, and certifications.  The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
