This role will gather and translate stakeholder, policy, and regulatory requirements into prioritized product and process strategies - developing roadmaps, managing backlogs, integrating security and compliance into agile workflows, and using data-driven feedback to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and risk reduction.

This role is onsite in Washington, DC, and, per our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support strategic planning and prioritization decisions.

  • Promote organizational understanding and accessibility of policy and process requirements.

  • Convert regulatory obligations, policy guidance, and stakeholder needs into clearly defined product and process requirements and user stories.

  • Create and maintain product roadmaps for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) automation tools, driving measurable gains in efficiency and risk reduction.

  • Manage and prioritize the team backlog, balancing immediate operational demands with long-term strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and delivery teams to embed security and privacy controls into agile and DevOps workflows, enabling continuous compliance.

  • Oversee stakeholder communication to ensure alignment, transparency, and shared understanding of product roadmaps and outcomes.

  • Track performance outcomes and leverage feedback and data insights to continuously improve processes and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, including at least two years supporting security, compliance, or risk management functions.

  • Proven ability to gather requirements, manage product backlogs, and deliver strategic roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated success in improving and automating business processes through technology-driven solutions.

  • Working knowledge of federal security compliance frameworks such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP.

  • Strong understanding of federal information security principles and privacy regulations.

  • Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Established track record of effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
