Overview

Our client is seeking a ServiceNow Platform and Governance Lead Architect to serve as the lead authority for ServiceNow platform governance, architecture, and lifecycle management, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant operations through the establishment of standards, strategic oversight, stakeholder collaboration, platform optimization, and mentorship of technical teams.

 

This opportunity is remote with required travel to the DC area. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET or TOP SECRET CLEARANCE. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead technical authority responsible for governing, managing, and maintaining the architectural integrity of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Define, implement, and enforce platform standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent, secure, and scalable deployments across the enterprise.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the ServiceNow platform lifecycle, including planning, upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing optimization.
  • Drive adoption of ServiceNow best practices while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate, prioritize, and manage platform enhancements and improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage platform health, performance, and stability to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks as well as external regulatory and security standards.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams on ServiceNow governance principles, architecture standards, and platform best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance platform capabilities, efficiency, and user experience.

Qualifications

  • All personnel must hold an active Secret or Top Secret (TS) clearance at the time of award.
  • Certification required: ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA).
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3+ years in governance and/or architecture roles, preferably within Department of War (DoW) or Federal environments (e.g., IL5).
  • Strong expertise in platform data architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise stakeholders and drive continuous improvement through effective governance, architectural oversight, and platform strategy.

  • W2 Hourly rate starts at $70. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, and location, and are subject to change at any time.
