Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Financials Technical Consultant to support their PeopleSoft Financials system. In this role you will serve as an Financials Center CORE Team member providing both project leadership and functional support for PeopleSoft Financials implementations and production environments, including requirements analysis, solution design, stakeholder collaboration, documentation, testing, training, risk assessment, and support for upgrades, patches, and system maintenance while ensuring compliance with statewide configurations and accounting procedures. This support will include project management, support for project implementations, financial upgrades and fixes, as well as production support for Phase II state agencies.

 

This is a remote opportunity, unless located in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an Financials Center CORE Team member, assuming both leadership and support responsibilities across a variety of projects.
  • Deliver functional support for PeopleSoft project implementations while safeguarding statewide configurations and ensuring compliance with established statewide accounting procedures.
  • Analyze and convert functional business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with PeopleSoft Business Analysts, System Analysts, System Integrators, Oracle, CAR, and other internal and external stakeholders to provide functional and technical support.
  • Communicate effectively with agency personnel, technical teams, and functional users to support project and operational objectives.
  • Maintain and update manuals, job aids, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other documentation as required.
  • Develop test scenarios, test scripts, training materials, and configuration documentation to support implementations and system enhancements.
  • Independently or in partnership with System Integrators, gather and document workflow requirements and design processes that align with both agency-specific and statewide needs within the Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense modules.
  • Provide ongoing functional production support for assigned PeopleSoft modules.
  • Proactively identify project risks, challenges, and obstacles, and provide comprehensive assessments and recommendations to FCoE, IS, CAR, and State leadership.
  • Support the testing and validation of patches, fixes, and Financials PUM upgrades, while maintaining PeopleSoft Test Framework scripts and testing processes.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency with PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 and PUM 53.
  • Strong functional knowledge of the following PeopleSoft Financials modules:
    • Grants
    • Project Costing
    • Contracts
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Billing
    • Accounts Payable
    • Travel & Expense
    • Treasury
    • General Ledger
    • Commitment Control
    • Asset Management
  • Proven ability to analyze functional business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with agency stakeholders, technical teams, and functional users.
  • Ability to work independently or alongside a System Integrator to gather and document workflow requirements and design solutions that satisfy both agency-specific and statewide requirements within the Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense modules.
  • Technical proficiency in:
    • Component Interfaces
    • SQR
    • Application Engine
    • PeopleCode
    • PeopleTools
    • SQL Developer
    • BI Publisher
  • Ability to identify project risks, challenges, and obstacles and provide detailed assessments and recommendations to FCoE, IS, CAR, and other State leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates with government-sector experience and/or direct State of Oklahoma experience.
  • Experience working with the current PeopleSoft PUM Image is highly preferred.

Compensation:

  • W2 Hourly rate: $75 - 125. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
