We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Controller to own and execute all aspects of the company's accounting and finance operations. This position serves as a key member of the leadership team and partners directly with the CEO, COO, and senior management to provide financial guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the continued growth of the organization.
While this position is remote, candidates within reasonable proximity to Annapolis, Maryland are strongly preferred to support periodic in-person meetings and business needs.
The Controller is responsible for the overall management of the Finance and Accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, payroll oversight, benefits accounting, government contract compliance, timekeeping compliance, audits, banking relationships, and strategic financial planning.
This role requires a leader who can balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution. The successful candidate will bring deep government contracting expertise, strong cost accounting experience, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to implement best practices while maintaining a compliant, audit-ready environment.
As the senior financial leader, the Controller will be ultimately responsible for the integrity of the company's accounting records, financial reporting, labor charging, and timekeeping practices.
