Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis for a large, multi-faceted organization. This role partners closely with finance and operational leadership to analyze financial performance, identify trends, develop forecasts, and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems. In addition to financial analysis responsibilities, this position includes team leadership and supervisory duties. The role follows a hybrid schedule with four days onsite and one remote day per week at an office conveniently located near BWI Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze income statements, financial results, and operational performance metrics.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial reporting packages and management reports.
  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Develop financial models, cost analyses, pricing forecasts, and profitability assessments.
  • Partner with operational leaders and controllers to review budget-to-actual performance and identify variances.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and recommendations to leadership.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with process improvements, reporting enhancements, and forecasting model development.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff while supporting hiring, performance management, and employee development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with ERP and financial systems.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced business degree.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials and/or HR systems.
  • Oracle Fusion experience.
  • Oracle EPM experience, including EPBCS, FCCS, or EDMCS.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
