Overview

The Squires Group is staffing for an exciting long-term project located in the Fort Meade, MD area, and has an opening for an Information Systems Security Architect.  As an Information Systems Security Architect, you will provide guidance to the Security Engineering team in support of the design, development, and integration of security networking and computing for this Federal Project.  This is a 10-year program, and, per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an active TS/SCI FS Poly clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to ensure the architecture and design of information systems are functional and secure, including program-of-record systems and special purpose environments with platform IT interconnectivity
  • Perform and review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommends mitigation strategies
  • Validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishes system security designs
  • Design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems and system components including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection/classification requirements
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle
  • Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations
  • Review Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation, and provide feedback on completeness and compliance of its content

Qualifications

  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3 is required
  • 5 years of experience conducting security authorization activities in compliance with Federal Standards
  • Knowledge of current security tools and hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizenswith an active TS/SCI FS Poly clearance
