We have an outstanding opportunity at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. We want you to join a team of Senior Level Electrical Engineer /Hardware working to unravel some of the growing challenges of the U.S. Intelligence Community.  Our client is looking to hire two experienced Hardware/Electrical Engineers.  You will be part of a team that will design, build, and deploy hardware, firmware, equipment, processes, and systems that involve IT hardware products, data networks, communications, and displays.  Your contributions will have an important and lasting impact on American soldiers and our nation.  If you are motivated, an ambitious self-starter that works well with both internal and external employees, we would love to talk with you.

 

This direct hire opportunity is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, and offers a comprehensive benefits package, an excellent salary, 401K, career growth and much more!  Relocation assistance may be provided. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must possess an active Secret clearance.  A Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Determine requirements for functional capabilities in support of the mission
  • Recommend and plan modifications to existing equipment as needed
  • Develop, test, and modify proof of concept/prototype systems using a mix of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom components
  • Assess new technology and tools, circuit board design, firmware development, software integration, system modifications, troubleshooting, system modifications, verification, and validation
  • Modify existing pieces of equipment to meet special needs
  • Perform stress and performance testing on a variety of computer hardware
  • Lead engineering collaboration through the use of design specifications to evaluate the performance of hardware and software
  • Design and develop computer hardware and support peripherals, including central processing units
  • Monitor the functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure systems operate in conformance with specifications
  • Analyze, test, and verify hardware to ensure that specifications and requirements are met
  • Write functional specifications that document the hardware development process and support hardware introduction for operational needs

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands on experience working with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering with emphasis on hardware, hardware engineering, firmware, software integration, and/or electrical engineering experience
  • Extensive hardware build out experience required
  • Proficiency with C/C++ and other programming languages
  • Skilled with requirements development, management, and documentation for system requirements
  • Experience working with Windows-based computer systems, Servers, GPU’s and Graphic Cards and other components
  • Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must possess an active Secret clearance

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance
  • Electrical Engineering background
  • Hands-on experience prototyping of hardware platforms for Cyber applications
